Placing a wall art can be a difficult task. Purchasing wall art can be joyful but it may soon turn in to a stress when placing it. Following are some tips for placing wall art:
  • Mount it at the right level: The room that have high ceiling, wall art should be placed little higher, this can visually lower the ceilings height. When trying to place wall art above the sofa, see to it that you leave 6-8 inch space between the back of the sofa and the top of the ceiling.
  • Think about the scale: When placing art on the wall, keep the scale in mind. For instance, if you are placing a wall art that is small on a wider wall, it will disappear. Similarly, if you place a big wall art on the wall that is narrow, it will make the room look cluttered.
  • Create a balance: When placing wall art, keep in mind not to place many pieces at one part of the room and this can make your wall look clumsy. Leaving the wall bare around the wall art makes it easily noticeable.
  • Grouping of wall art: Grouping of wall art is the most effective way especially when trying to create a rectangular or square shaped display.
  • Using the right hooks: Picture hanging hooks should be used rather than heavy screws and nails. Try using two picture-hanging screws when placing the art as this can make your artwork secure on the wall.
  • Do not forget to light for highlighting the wall art: Artwork that deserves extra attention needs to be highlighted with lighting. Placing of accent lighting on the wall is a good idea of showcasing and drawing attention of the people.
  • Protecting your valuable artwork: It is good idea of protecting your wall art from UV light and humidity Avoid placing artwork on the places where there is humidity and exposure to sunlight as this can damage your valuable artwork.
