Actions To Take Against Drug Abused Employees

If employee substance abuse problem becomes extensive, then it disturbs the workplace. So, coworkers and supervisors should take prompt action.

For Coworkers:
Do not allow addictive behaviors by ignoring, excusing, or fixing the coworker who abuses drugs. Based on the situation and relationship with the coworker (drug abuse), they have to take supporting steps to help them. They should try talking to coworker who is drug abuse about their concerns in straightforward, merciful way. Coworkers should also be prepared to hear excuses, apologies, angry remarks, tearful pleas, and claims of innocence from drug abused co-worker. They should just provide non-judgmental support and help them to undertake treatment but should not try to solve their problem.

For Employers:
A company’s staff is its most profitable resource. Every employer should design a plan in place for approaching addiction in the workplace and providing treatment for those who require it. Research reveals that addiction treatment costs less than replacement of an employee and has more significance in terms of customer satisfaction, strengthened morale, and improved job performance.

Tips to Improve Fuel Efficiency of Car

Driving in the highest gear possible without troubling the engine is a fuel-efficient way of driving. Use your gears wisely. A vehicle traveling at 37mph in third gear uses 25 percent more fuel than at the same speed in fifth gear. By applying light choke and avoiding heavy braking, we can reduce both fuel consumption and wear and tear of components. Research suggests driving techniques can influence car fuel efficiency by about 30 percent. Switching your engine off for short periods can actually increase fuel consumption, as it requires more fuel to get the engine started. The lighter the load, the lower the fuel consumption, emissions, and the higher the fuel efficiency. Worn tyres will also decrease fuel efficiency, so check the tread regularly. Driving with your windows open drastically reduces your fuel efficiency, more than running car with air conditioner. The air-conditioning decreases fuel efficiency too, so try not to over use it. Operating air conditioner in city traffic reduces fuel efficiency by about 9%. Choose an economical car, like small cars use as they are more fuel-efficient and produce lower emissions than large cars. Under inflated (filled) tyres can increase fuel consumption greatly.
