Find the Difference Between a Nanny Care and a Day Care

Working parents these days ensure that their children are provided with a nanny care or a day care. Both are meant for taking care of a child in the absence of the parents. What actually is the difference between a nanny care and a day care?

Nanny care involves one-on-one care for your child. It is desirable to take care of a child at an infant stage with the help of a nanny. However, a nanny care can include care for all ages of children. A day care is regarded as care taken of children of all ages except infants.

A child day care is provided in a supervised environment where many adults are present. In a nanny care, the child is taken care at home in a comfortable way. Nanny care is more convenient for parents as they need to dress up their children and drop them at a day care center.

A nanny may or may not reside in the home of the family. However, she takes care of the child throughout the day. A day care provider obviously takes care of the child outside the home for certain periods of time. Based on the number of hours of child care, both nannies and day care givers are paid by the employers. The cost and pricing of a nanny care is much higher when compared to a day care.

In a day care, the children must be adapted to a particular curriculum, schedule or rules of the program. A customized care may not be received by each child. However, you can give certain guidelines for your nanny regarding the care that has to be taken. Based on the requirements and the amount that you can afford, you can employ your child for a day care or a nanny care.
