Barcode scanners are used in postal offices as well in processing the packages. They are used at airports for the same purpose. Scanners read the barcode labels which are printed by barcode printers. In airports, these scanners can also read the labels which are wrinkled and damaged. They are also used to find the weight and origin and destination of the parcels.
Small stores to big manufacturing units use barcodes for different purposes, because of their multiple advantages.
